At Fa’akasi Family Counseling, we believe meaningful support begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood.
We’re a New Mexico-based virtual counseling practice providing compassionate, individualized therapy for adolescents and adults, with specialized support for perinatal and maternal mental health.
Our work is grounded in the understanding that people are shaped by their experiences, relationships, environments, and nervous systems. We believe care should honor the whole person—not simply focus on symptoms.

The Meaning Behind Our Name
Fa’akasi — Together.
Our name began with our family.
When we were creating Fa’akasi Farm, our children helped choose a name rooted in our family’s Samoan heritage. Fa’akasi, meaning together in Samoan, became a reflection of what we were building.
As my private practice grew, the name grew with it.
Today, Fa’akasi Family Counseling carries that same spirit of togetherness: a belief that meaningful growth happens through connection, community, and having support alongside us through life’s changing seasons.
Meet Our Founder
Kelsi Meredith, LCSW
The heart behind Fa’akasi Family Counseling.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience in the mental health field and a special passion for perinatal and maternal mental health.
I’m also a mother of six. My experiences with motherhood, loss, identity shifts, and the many changing seasons of family life have shaped not only the clinician I am, but the kind of practice I wanted to build.
Fa’akasi began as a space for meaningful, compassionate care and has grown into a vision for something larger: a practice where clients can find support through different seasons of life, and where clinicians have the freedom to provide thoughtful, individualized care.
I’m grateful to be building a team that allows us to support more people throughout New Mexico while preserving the personal connection that has always been at the heart of Fa’akasi.
